Factors that Determine Porta Potty Rental Costs
Porta potties aren’t just for construction zones. They can be utilized during large scale events such as concerts and weddings, or other events like TV shoots, long camping trips and more.
There are many factors that determine the pricing structure for renting portable restrooms—which can include location, availability, length of rental, permits and maintenance fees. Every rental company is different, but here’s a general overview of what to expect.
Standard Porta Potty Rental Costs
The average cost to rent a standard porta potty is $130 dollars per week, or $139 every 4 weeks. A standard porta potty includes the basics—a toilet, urinal, toilet paper dispenser and hand sanitizer dispenser. There is typically no lighting included. Keep in mind: the majority of this rental cost includes the delivery, placement and removal of the porta potties. For example, the $138 standard porta potty rate includes service once per week, assuming you place a 4-week rental. If you prefer the porta potty be serviced twice a week, the price goes up to $268.
These days, there are so many varieties of porta potties to choose from. Porta potties come in a wide range of all different sizes and amenities. Mr. John offers over twenty different types to choose from. That being said, your rental cost can vary quite a bit depending on which type of portable restroom(s) you’d like to offer your guests.
Deluxe Porta Potty Rental Costs
In the case that you want to provide a more luxurious experience for the guests of your venue, you may choose to go with a deluxe option. At Mr. John, that’s our Flush Plus. The average cost to rent the Flush Plus is $290 per week or $258 every 4 weeks. In the case of events, special event pricing is available. Deluxe versions typically feature interior lighting, fresh water sinks, hand towels and soap vs. hand sanitizer.
Porta Potty Costs for Large Events
If you’re hosting a really large group of people, a restroom trailer may be the way to go, though the rental cost will greatly increase. Great for weddings, festivals, races or concerts, restroom trailer facilities feature multiple stalls so that attendees won’t have to wait in long lines.
Porta Potty Costs for Multi-week Projects
The national average to rent a restroom trailer with 2 stalls is $1,397 per week or $3,407 every 4 weeks. On the bright side, it may be worth the added convenience for your guests.
Say you need a long-term solution vs. a one-time event. For example, a construction project that will take several months to complete. Knowing that the construction site will be up for a while, it may be worth signing a contract with a portable restroom company. This way, your weekly rates will likely be lower in comparison to paying every 4 weeks with no contract.
